The book consists of short stories of Dennis – an 8 year old Russian boy. Dennis is a single kid of two working parents and no other siblings. He lives in a period where television and video games are almost absent from his life. Instead he has real friends, with whom he plays, fights, shares aspiration, dreams and does everything that we did as kids. His best friend is Mishka – another year old boy with whom Dennis encounters all his adventures. Unlike the American Dennis, this Dennis is not someone who troubles his peers, parents and neighbors. He is like any other 8 year old boy, same level of curiosity, same intelligence, and similar ways of life.
